Job description

The Data Analyst III is responsible for assisting business teams and management with the development and implementation of operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting. They use visualisation tools to understand and manipulate complex datasets to generate impactful visualisations. Additionally, they provide ad-hoc reporting services and continually develop new methods for data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage ESG data structures and reporting linkages on ESG data system, Workiva across the Group, including the integration of acquisitions.
  • Develop ESG dashboards and performance insights to track Sustainability Linked-Loan targets, strategic ESG metrics, climate performance and CSI indicators.
  • Optimise the ESG data platform and processes, improving automation, data flows, reporting linkages and version control.
  • Strengthen ESG data governance and assurance readiness through clear data definitions, methodologies, calculation protocols, controls and supporting evidence.
  • Coordinate Group-wide ESG data collection and reporting across business units and regions for annual reporting, ratings agencies, CDP, regulatory submissions and other key reporting requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the supporting evidence required for external assurance.
  • Support climate and GHG emissions data management, including emissions baselines, climate targets, performance tracking and data required for the Group’s climate transition plan.
  • Support and train ESG data owners on platform use, reporting requirements, data definitions, controls and evidence requirements. 

Requirements

  • 3-year Bachelor’s degree or other equivalent qualification in Data Analytics; Computer Science; Information systems; or Finance.
  • Postgraduate qualification or formal studies in Sustainability or Environmental Management studies would be preferred  
  • Certification or training in Carbon Accounting, Sustainability Reporting would be preferred  

Skills

  • Experience managing large, complex datasets across multiple stakeholders, business units or regions
  • Advanced Excel and Power Query are essential. API’s and SQL are desirable
  • ESG reporting, sustainability data management
