For everyone

• CheckedJobs is free for job seekers. We never charge you to find or apply for a job.
• We check every advert, but we can't guarantee that every advert or employer is genuine, or that information in adverts is correct. Use your own judgement, and read our safety tips.
• We don't employ the people who apply, and we're not part of the hiring decision. Applications go directly to the employer.
• Don't misuse the site: no scraping, spamming, fake reports, or attempts to break our security.
• We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

For employers posting jobs

• You must be a real business or organisation, and the information you give us must be true. We check every business before its jobs go live, and may ask for proof.
• You may not charge applicants anything: no fees for registration, training, uniforms, medicals, placement or administration. You may not ask for money, bank details or ID numbers in an advert.
• Adverts must be for real, current vacancies, with honest descriptions of the work, location and how to apply. Every advert needs a closing date, at most 90 days away.
• No pyramid schemes, network marketing, crypto or forex trading recruitment, or adult work.
• Adverts must follow South African law, including the Employment Equity Act and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. Only include requirements that are genuinely needed for the job.
• Recruitment agencies must name the kind of client they're hiring for and follow the laws that apply to them.
• You're responsible for handling applicants' personal information lawfully under POPIA.
• Every advert is checked before it goes live, and we may edit the formatting of, hide or remove any advert. New accounts have a limit on live adverts.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, or when adverts are reported by job seekers, and may block the contact details of accounts involved in scams.
• Posting is free. If we introduce paid options, they'll be optional and clearly priced.

Content we collect from other sites

Some jobs come from employers' public careers pages and government vacancy circulars. We link to the original advert and send applicants to the employer. If you'd like your jobs updated or removed, email hello@checkedjobs.co.za.

Liability

We provide CheckedJobs “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from adverts, employers, or your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. The law of South Africa applies.
