Chief Directorate: Rural Health Services
Requirements:
Minimum educational qualification: An appropriate national diploma (NQF 6) or equivalent in Public Relations Management or Public Administration or Communications with competencies that focus on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post. Experience: Appropriate experience in interpersonal communication in a health- or social service setting. Experience in development, coordination and implementation of quality improvement plans/ initiatives/ activities to support better outcomes. Appropriate practical application of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) in work activities. Inherent requirements of the job: A valid driver’s license (Code B/EB) and willingness to conduct outreach and engagement with communities, patients, families and ecosystem health partners. Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours when operationally required. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to independently plan, organise and coordinate consumer quality and patient experience services, including problem-solving, analysis, decision-making and quality improvement initiatives. Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills to effectively engage with patients, staff and stakeholders, and support quality assurance objectives through effective communication practices. Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop, implement and monitor related quality improvement plans and interventions. Excellent administrative, organisational and report-writing skills, including survey and feedback management, supported by proficient computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) for data management, reporting and information coordination.
Duties:
Coordinate and maintain Client Quality: Complaints, Compliments and Suggestions function of the facility. Coordinate and maintain a Real-Time Patient Engagement process and the prevention and mitigation of risks. Coordinate Patient Experience and Related Surveys and feedback processes. Support Information coordination functions. Perform Front Line Duties and Relief Support. Provide effective line management, supervision and people management of staff reporting to the Liaison Officer.
