Job Purpose

To lead and manage warehouse teams, processes and assets to ensure effective and efficient stock movement from inbound to outbound in line with company standards and requirements (Premier Way).

Key Responsibilities

1. To optimize warehouse operational processes to meet customer requirements through:

a) Warehouse utilization and buffer management

b) Process flow management and organization,

2. To drive cost effective and efficient operations by:

a) ensuring the adherence to budget and financial targets

b) adherence to all management SOP’s and controls

3, To ensure effective health, safety, environmental and risk management as well as compliance by:

a) advocating a health and safety culture

b) implementation and adherence to all Health Safety Environmental and Risk management policies, procedures and practices

4. To ensure continuous improvement of the warehouse process and function. through:

a) Ensuring a culture of learning and continuous improvement in the Invocom

b) Perform root cause analysis when needed and ensure corrective action with relevant stakeholders

5, To ensure compliance and adherence to the requirements of Premier Food Safety standards, policies, and procedures through implementation of:

a) operational guidelines on good housekeeping practices

b) daily cleaning processes and practices

6, Ensure high performance culture in the warehouse team by:

a) building and motivating capability through competency-based selection

b) training and development, coaching, mentoring, performance management

effective communications

7, Ensure on time and in full deliveries through cost effective fleet control in collaboration with the national replenishment team by:

a) Ensuring licensed drivers with PDP’s

b) Vehicle maintenance and repairs

Experience and Qualifications

To perform effectively in this role, the following minimum qualifications and work experience are required:

•Manufacturing Academy Certificate or Leadership/Management Certificate equivalent (Essential)

•Advanced OSHACT certificate (Essential)

•FSSC 22000 or equivalent (Essential)

•Logistics or Supply chain management diploma(Desirable)

•LSS Greenbelt (Desirable)

•Lean Champion (Desirable)

•3-5 years FMCG warehouse manager role

•5 - 7 years Supervisory management of continuous operations
