Staff Nurse Grade 1 to 3 (Female Pre Discharge Ward 3)

Requirements:
Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse. Experience: Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse. Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work overtime, nightshift, weekends and public holidays. Willingness to rotate within the hospital in different wards. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge and experience of Community Mental Health at Primary Health care level. Basic Computer literacy (MS Office). Ability to function independently, as well as in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure good patient care. Good communication skills.

Duties:
Provide basic clinical nursing care. Development and implementation of basic patient care plans. Effective utilization of resources. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
