Job Summary

The Transaction Accountant forms part of the Active Portfolio Management team within PPB and supports the execution of portfolio optimisation initiatives, including portfolio sales, securitisations and other structured transactions.
The role helps ensure transactions are financially sound, operationally practical and appropriately reflected from an accounting and reporting perspective.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the financial and accounting implications of structured finance transactions.
• Support transaction execution and implementation activities.
• Engage with Finance, Technical Accounting, Treasury and operational stakeholders.
• Contribute to reporting, analysis and governance requirements.
• Support the review of transaction performance and risks.
• Assist with the development of structuring and transaction management capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA(SA).
• Experience in financial services, finance, corporate finance, treasury or related environments would be advantageous.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years financial services experience
